The Law Office of Paul Michalek, Jr. was founded in the fall of 2010. His law practice concentrates on Personal Injury, Criminal defense, including DWI defense, Civil Litigation, including Divorce, Contract disputes and Commercial Law.
Prior to 2010, Mr. Michalek served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Erie County District Attorney's Office for over five years, prosecuting all levels of criminal cases from misdemeanors to homicides in all State, County, City, Town and Village Courts. As an Assistant District Attorney in the Felony DWI Bureau, Mr. Michalek was responsible for prosecuting Felony DWIs which included Personal Injury Accidents and Hit and Run cases. As an Assistant District Attorney in the Felony Trial Bureau, Mr. Michalek was responsible for handling felonies from the Grand Jury Investigation up to and including a Felony Trial.
Mr. Michalek received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Canisius College in 1997 and his Juris Doctor degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2001.
Mr. Michalek is a 1994 graduate of St. Francis High School and currently serves on their School Board. In addition to serving on the School Board, Mr. Michalek assists his father, Paul Michalek, Sr. as legal counsel for the school.
